For anybody that uses RV Covers what do you use on the water drain rail edges to protect the cover from the sharp edge? Also on any other sharp edges that you might need?

I have the little add on plastic drains on mine also but i think when I tighten the cover i might brake they off?

Pipe Foam Insulation (similar to a pool noodle but much small diameter). I secure it to the downspout with a zip tie.

When we covered our TT, we used old socks over the "downspouts" and sharp corners of the awning channels, held in place with lots of masking tape. Most of them lasted the winter, and we never had a problem with holes in the cover.

Never heard of Gaffers tape , will have to check it out.

Gaffers tape is what production crews use to hold down wires. It's strong, waterproof, and best of all- does not leave a sticky residue. I use it instead of duct tape for alot of applications. If duct tape is 100mph tape, Gaffers is 200mph tape!

We hold down our Sunshield tarp with bottles of antifreeze and don't tie it down tight. No problem in several years.

I use a tennis ball slit to cover gutter extensions, haven't needed tape to hold them on.

I have a TT, never use a cover. I've seen other people use those pool 'noodles', cut to fit. I think if you wrapped the gutter extensions with bubble wrap or cover them with a plastic solo cup, or PVC pipe, etc., taped in place-that might work.

In the past I covered these with some foam cushioning, but didn't do it last year. It didn't harm either the extensions or the cover, but I won't press my luck and will cover them this year.
