slide seals ?

I have a 2004 27RLSS sandpiper. My question is when I pull the slide in the side rubber seals on the trailer fold in toward the inside. Is this normal, and will it hurt anything by them folding back. If this matters what can I do to stop this from happening. This is my first camper I have ever owned with a slide, Just don't want to mess things up by doing something stupid. Like Forest Gump said "Stupid is as Stupid does." I would like to stay away from stupid the best I can, but at times it seems like stupid just jumps on me. Any one ever had that to happen to ya.

Normally, there is no "inside" seal and "outside" seal. They are one and the same. Why not just re-glue the ones you have? It can be expensive replacing them. Find a repair shop and ask what they'd charge compared to what your dealer would charge.

I put aerospace 303 on the wiper seal and it helps them but if they fold in i just pop them back out it happens with the outside wipers.

Most slides have two seals. One is the actual seal (to seal out air, water, hopefully bugs and critters, etc. It is usually a rounded "D" shape.

The other seal is called the wiper. It is blade shaped and it's function is to wipe or squeegee off any water on the slide roof and sides
This is probably the one you are referring to that "folds."
This is normal and how they work.
