Slow shower drain

All of a sudden I've got a slow shower drain. Tanks are empty, I pulled the drain/strainer and cleaned it. There was a little buildup of soap scum, but not enough that it should have slowed it down. Any rv safe chemicals I could pour down to clean it? Any thoughts what else to check?

I've used the plastic barbed tool purchased in most plumbing sections of home stores with a sink drain at the house. A friend used a shop vac to clear a p trap one time with success. Getting to a p trap under some showers could be a bit of a challenge.

Your shower may not have a p trap but a rubber duck bill drain. If it flipped up, then it will drain slowly. If you stuck something down the drain then pulled back out, then that will flip the duck bill up causing a slow drain.

Why is it the only thing we seem to disagree on is a hitch????

X2!! "P" trap likely restricted.

Add hot water until the drain backs up.

Then take a toilet stool plunger and plunge the heck out of it.

That always takes care of my small drain clogs.

If you have a shop vacuum, try blowing air down the vent. The pressure shouldn't hurt anything and if the problem is in the vent to the roof, it might clear it out. (You have a vent to allow air to escape from the tank so water/waste will flow in.) A blocked vent from a bird's nest can cause your shower and kitchen sinks to drain very slow. Ditto with the toilet drain.

We have used Draino with good results.

Maybe Draino or Liquid Plumber that's safe for plastic plumbing? The PVC piping shouldn't be any different than the type in your stick and brick.

Hardware stores sell a reusable plastic thingy with fishook barbs on it that will clear hair clogs out of the Utrap. Only a couple bucks and well worth the money.
