A fun thread. What have you seen on the net or in person?
Below is a 2 Ltre Diesel VW Transporter, towing a 24ft rig

Old GMC/two ton maybe, 50's something. Looks to be home made.
But check out the Iron that's sitting next to it, those bikes are old also, he is at a swap meet.

Wish I knew, truck looks like a 57-58? Chevy. Is that a wood stove stack on the roof? Some older campers had them back in the day.

US Isuzu's are different, they have steel suspensions . The Isuzu v8, is not used outside NA. Engines are 7.7 litre to 15 litre Diesels. Yes you have a real Pickup thing that would puzzle, people from Europe.
60plus crowd are the main users of the LD and MDT Japanese Truck 5vers here.

I've always wondered why Benz, which does make trucks, never introduced a pickup here. Given what people will spend on a Big 3 truck to customize it, I figured MB could build that from the factory for less. Same for Isuzu; why not a pickup to compete with our 3/4 and 1 ton trucks? They already build a great engine for it...though that 15 liter sounds fun. 🙂

I would suspect anything bigger like a 3/4 to 1 ton, outside NA goes to a "Lorry" as the English would say or more specifically in Europe Cab Chassis variants of Vans(Very popular in Europe). In Asia,they seem to jump to what you would call a MDT.
Towing is by car , Van or Cab Chassis variant in Europe or very heavy a " Lorry" which can be anything up to a 750hp Monster.
Europe is the only other place where they have towable RV's outside of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. RV's are embryionic in Asia and they tend to be Class C Motorhomes.

Not problem with revised suspensions and rubber /airbag suspensions
Most of the 5vers posted, are full timers, US Pickups have been replaced or not chosen for the task.
