Tire pressure monitor

I am considering buying a tire monitoring system for my fifth wheel. I have looked at several of the systems. Just wondering if I could get some input from those of you who have a system. Is a signal booster necessary?

Starts picking up the sensors in around 15 minutes. Definitely valid measurements as the temp on all sensors was the outdoor ambient temp.

I have the tst507 system. It started to lose the signal from the front street side trailer tire monitor. I replaced the batteries in all the monitors and same situation. After about a four hour drive the street side front trailer monitor signal is lost. Tried changing location of sensors with same results, street side front trailer tire monitor signal lost. Wasn't like that last season. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
When you changed the location of the sensors did you also reset the position on the monitor? If you didn't reset them then the same sensor is going to show up at the "street side front trailer" position regardless of which tire it is on. You may have a bad sensor, that can happen.

When I had my TST monitor mounted a little below the console arm rest I had signal loss a couple times. I moved the monitor up on the dash beside the GPS and have had no more lost signals. At least that I know of.

I have the TST 510s, the kind in which I can NOT replace the battery, so I have to send them back to get replacements - which now cost $30/per. I have had to replace several and am honestly getting tired of paying for new ones.

So, when I had then on current trailer with a 2500 short bed truck, I had NO problems with signal loss....now with my new long bed dually (same trailer), I am having serious signal drop outs....I have not tried using the antenna that came with them, but will try placing them higher in the truck...maybe mounting in the overhead. If that doesn't work I will try the antenna.

Mine usually take about 5-10 minutes to connect to the monitor. I find that if I plug the monitor in when I first hook up to the 5th wheel, by the time I'm ready to travel I'm all connected.

I use TST and have a booster also. The only time I have lag is when I first hook up. That only last a couple of minutes. They have replaced the sensors when needed with no issue.

TST is a great company. I just got off phone with them. I called and they were closed, they saw where I called and called me back from a Los Vegas trade show. Pretty nice of them something they didn't have to do. I have had the 507 system for a few years and very happy with it. They now have new color system with a few new added features now.
Did you ask them if they've addressed the excessive time delay problem?

I have had Tire Minder for about 4 years. Signal booster is in front compartment. A few false positives. Overall very pleased. Customer service is outstanding.

I had several TireMinders, and was not impressed. They were inconsistent with each other.
So I bought an EEZ tire monitor EexTire T515. It works great and gives my good information. When my trailer tires were inflated (cold), the tire minder said the pressure was 95 deg F. But the pressures are the same all around. The temperatures are about the same all around. As we are traveling, the press and temps increase, but consistly with each other.
I would go with the Eez tire minder.
