The 7 year old Maxxis tires are shot, starting to break apart in the ribs. I have had great luck with these, wondering about the New (to me anyway) Goodyear Endurance tires made in the US and seem to have good reviews. So Maxxis 8008's again or Goodyear Endurance? 2011 Jayco Eagle 321RLTS max at 14500. So E load range at least. 235/80/16.

Think I am going with what has worked on the last two 5er's. Another set of Maxxis.
Thanks to All

Good plan. You know what to expect from them.

What is the difference between "Steel Ply Carcass" and what GY says about the Endurance construction?

"Carry heavy-duty loads with a redesigned polyester construction reinforced with steel belts."

Belts are not part of the tire carcass! The Endurance is a poly carcass tire. The Sailun S637 and G614/114 are steel ply carcass tires. Think "sidewall"!

I am not sure what my rims are rated for, the Maxxis are 80psi. That is what I have been running them at. It orignally had Goodyear Marathons, only D range.. They were replaced with the Maxxis tires before the first real trip. Think I am going with what has worked on the last two 5er's. Another set of Maxxis.
Thanks to All

The Endurance is built just like any fabric carcass P/ST or LT tire with two polyester carcass (body) plies and 1 or 2 nylon caps under the tread plus the usual 2 steel tread belts.

The Sailun S637 has a all steel ply carcass plus the twin steel tread belts. Its intended for regional trailer service work and also rv trailers.

Why not stay with Maxxis?

Although I will say I had great luck with Goodyear Endurance on my previous RV.. and have heard alot of good about Sailuns.

I will tell you why, the ENDURANCE is a trouble free tire with 2 2/3 years on the market. GY is Made In USA.

See below.

I started tracking the on-line reports of failures of the Goodyear Endurance ST tire line when it was introduced in the fall of 2016. That means the first production is in the last few months of the 3rd summer, and the second year of production is in the 2nd year. Because I have not seen any reported non-road hazard failures - compared to previous reported failures for the Marathon, I am declaring that Goodyear has fixed whatever problem they had with their ST tires.

OP, look at the chart below for the available ENDURANCE 16" sizes and load ratings. You could always up the size for more capacity at the same 80psi if you have room. Do you know what your actual load on the tires are???

Good plan unless the OP's wheels are rated at 80 psi max. Never over pressure a tire or wheel. BTDT on both back in my younger knew it all days...even after my tire dealers told me what can happen.
