I was on a trip and had two blowouts on 3 year old BF's. Replaced them all with Geostar ST235/85-16/14 G574.That was what was avaible in this town. Are they any good.

They should be OK if your rims are rated at 110 PSI. I suspect they are but it is stamped on the back side of the rim.

This is an all steel ply tire similar to the Sailun tire. At 31.7 inches it is a inch larger than the standard ST235/80R16E or the GY G614, so watch distance between tires, you will loose 1". Chris

I'd never heard of them, and no major chain sells them (a telling point)
Consumer Reports lists them as "no bargain" link

I ended up with another "no-name" tire when I had to replace a tire in a small town. It's now the "spare" that I hope to never use.

I consider an early replacement.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

Kind of late now to find out if they are good or not isn't it?

Can your rims take the PSI those tires require?
Can you keep below the 65 MPH rating of the tires?
65 MPH top speed for only short time not a consent 65 MPG or more.

Not particularly. ST tires in general are garbage when you compare them to similar sized LT tires. Speed rating is only one part of the equasion, but a big part of the high failure rate.
