If your not tied to a clock, how far do your travel in 1 day?

So your not over tired, nor over stretched and then the next day tired. Old Man rest usually gets his justice somewhere, then is's usually Expensive...

Advice for a new old guy..

We plan for about 300 but will sometimes do more. I like very very early starts so I can be off the road and in a campsite by 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Long evenings of dinner, rest and a walk thru the campground charges us up for another day.

Whatever is necessary. Being retired helps to keep the number of miles down, but I also remember some longer pre-retirement days.

Being young and dumb and depending on where we are going and how much time we have, 600-1000 miles. Swap driving duties w/ the Mrs for a bit, fuel, P, and either eat on the road or have sandwiches packed beforehand. But over all ave is probly more like 600-800 miles.

Sometimes just a couple miles. Usually 150 or less. No alarm clock. No pressing schedule.

We try to keep it between 200-250. In our last 5 days of travel we exceeded it once by 5 miles and our shortest day was 129. In 7 years on the road there's less than a handfull we did 300 or a few more.

We try to not do more than 300 miles a day, but have done 400 to 425 in a long day.

300 is our target. We may go a bit over or under.
