i am at about four and a half years with my group 31 agm. They set me back about $250 each, twelve volt, and i haven't done anything with them since i installed them. They work great. as far as the sot comparison to regular $100 batteries, i am past the first whole year of breaking even. i will never not buy agm's again. maybe someday i can afford the lithium.

Nice purchase Michelle. Do you have a way to monitor charging amperate, so you will know when the AGM's are full? How will you be charging them?

Just replaced my four 12V Flooded Batteries with four T105 6V AGMs. Now don't have to crawl into the front storage to check water levels.

AGM, especially the brands like Lifeline, are not cheap. The payoff is in the longevity & duty cycles of the AGM plus the no maintenance of it. It can go anywhere that you can find space to put it. No need to worry about venting.

May I suggest an AGM designed for solar applications like this one Clicky?

It is a true deep cycle group 31 battery.

Capacity on Optima is about 60% of a more traditional design. Cost is more per amp-hour of storage for them. If they were free--sure. But I want every amp-hour I can crowd into the available space without exceeding the carrying capacity of the batter compartment.
