Type of lube on fifth wheel pin

What type of lube to you use on your 5th wheel pin? I have a lube plate for the hitch but noticed a little groove on the pin itself. I have a sliding bar Reese hitch and want to make sure the bar stays locked, too.

Check out the aerosol graphite. Does a great job and no mess.

I have always used a lube plate... I use white grease on the jaws also

I use Sip Plate spray on graphite.

I use wheel bearing grease, then slip a tin can over the pin when not towing to keep the grease clean. Use a 15 oz can and cut the top out with a can opener that cuts the edge of the rim rather than inside the rim.

I have used white grease on ours since 2001. Easy to clean after arriving at home or the winter resort. The reason is I saw many pins with rust on them years ago.

One pump of AMZ/OIL grease smeared evenly on kingpin shaft the hitch jaws clamp to. Just happens to be the grease I use on the 9 fittings on my TrailAir TriGlide, fitting on my B&W hitch and wheel bearings on the RV.

I use a spray, dry film, molybdenum lube. No dirt attraction and only needs to be reapplied about twice a summer.

Yeah, I would guestimate 95 percent of us use a lube ring. Still needs lube on the moving parts, pin and jaws.
