Value of trade when sent back to factory

Just was wondering. If a unit is returned to the factory for a repair (not damage but factory issue) would the trade value be less based on that fact?

I'm not suggesting failing to disclose a problem but if it's fixed why mention it?

A factory repair is better than no repair and most likely better than a dealer repair. It's certainly worth more than when unrepaired.

It reminds of when I hauled the Newmar from Florida to Indiana to get a slide floor replaced.

TusconJim is correct. it's not like there is a carfax like reporting service for towable RV's.

How would anyone know whether repairs were done at the factory or a dealership?
It shouldn't have any affect at all.

Hopefully it will up the value.
They are correcting issues that if not fixed will lower the value.

No change at all, the value drops like a rock regardless. Now if you have major problems like delamination or major frame issues and they were disclosed that might turn buyers off. However run off the mill stuff isn't a problem imo

The value of RVs drops quickly so factory repairs won't have much bearing on the value other than the buyer may view a factory repair as "better" than a DIY or RV dealer repair.

Shouldn't -----factory repairs done all the time on MANY USED RVs.

Value affected by age, condition, model and location.

What really affects value is a 'salvaged title'

Otherwise it is just another USED unit.
