vents in floors

anyone have any issues with the heater vents being on the floor, particularly in a high traffic area? we are looking at a cedar creek where the vents are right where we will walk on them a thousand times, vs. a solitude where they are not in the floor at all. i know in a stick house it matters...they get crushed.

I always change them out with the louvered type which are a little stronger.

I wouldn't want one in the main traffic pattern, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. Once you're in it for a while, you forget where they are anyway.

We have one right in front of the stove in the kitchen area. We keep a small rug over it. The rug has no backing material, it's not affected by the heat when we run the heater. The rug is there to keep pieces of food from falling in the vent as we cook. I'm a sloppy cook....

The only issue I have ever had with them was on my last unit. The carpet pulled out from under the edge of one and I just could not get it to stay afterwards. Keystone via Camping World resolved the issue without complaint or recurrence.

We have two in the middle..Allows us to fully use our rig including the furnace with both slides in.
They are not a problem at all. I occasionally pull the registers and vacuum inside.

We changed out a couple of our register covers for ones with shut off louvers but no problems. The vents being in the floor also will help in the colder weather keep the tanks from freezing. Good Luck and Happy Camping.

My trailer has one in the traffic pattern, two things I don't like about it.....They can be rough on bare feet and if you want to put down any small rugs, you have to move them when you run the heater.
