X2 on the RV water filter store. He has the full size canisters available as well as many different kinds of filters. And it is a very educational site - you will learn a lot just browsing.

I visited Home Depot and bought 2 full size canisters (do not get the clear ones - algae will grow), got some PVC to hook them together and inlet and outlet brass hose connections. I buy my filters, water pressure regulators, and small hoses from the RV water filter store.

The easy way is to get one of those blue Camco disposable filters. They work well, but do not filter down to catch the really small size stuff. Don't remember if the micron size is stamped on the body or if I had to visit their site to find it. Cheaper to buy on Amazon. The canisters will filter down to a smaller micron size.

This fellow is an Escapee and much trusted in the full-time community. His web site has some good educational sections that helped me learn a lot about water filtering and how to go about it. I've also not found better prices anywhere else.

I adapted a whole house filter canister to accept garden hose type connections and use a replaceable charcoal filter cartridge for filtration. The nice thing about it is that you can pick the type of cartridge you want to use. Works well for us. Hope this helps.
