Hi there all you Toy Haulers!
I'm wanting to trade my 24' bumper pull for a 36-38' toy hauler 5th wheel, not for the toys, but for my art studio. And I'll be full timing it as I just sold my house. Based out of Georgetown, TX and West Yellowstone, MT....and everywhere in between. So I'll be traveling. Planning on towing with a one ton dually. Looking at Keystone Fuzion 325 about 38' or Grand Design's newest Momentum around 36'.
Some RV dealers have raised concerns about tow balance and drivability issues with no weight of a toy in the back. My art supplies aren't light, but do I really need to carry 1000 lbs of weight in the back so I don't overload my hitch?
And does the rear loft count, off the kitchen over the garage? or does it need to be all in the way back? Don't you sometimes travel with the garage empty?
I plan on taking stackable washer/dryer, paints, canvases, rolls of canvas, frames, photography equipment, paper, pastels, boards, several boxes of heavy art books, tables, easels, tripods, dog food, supplies to last 4 months in Yellowstone, 3 seasons of clothes....?
Love to hear your thoughts on this...thanks so much!
