Which between wheel chocks??

In researching these I'm finding basic plastic ones for $20/side up to elaborate metal clamping ones for $50+/side. Do the cheapies work just as well? I'm not opposed to spending the $$ if I need to. I'm somewhat wondering about theft since they're just sitting there.

With the 6-point leveling system on my 5th wheel, heavy duty plastic wheel chocks work just fine. If the weight of your 5th wheel is substantially still on the wheels when set up, then you may need between-the-wheel chocks for additional stability - your inner ear will ultimately be the judge.

IF, you can find any used, Rotochok are the best thing. Not cheap, but the best.

With them installed, if you forget to take them off before pulling the trailer out, you won't pull the trailer out.

But they went out of business, when both of the couple that founded and made them passed away. I saw a company that was trying to collect and resell used ones, but I can't come up with it now.

Get one that touches both wheels top and bottom when you tighten the chock up.
