We also full time in a Voltage 3905.

From a space standpoint, it's hard to beat a large toy hauler. Tons of storage, the garage is a great flex room for toys/office/bunks/etc.

The Voltage is pretty on par with other TH's/5ers in the $70-100k range. Look nice but the build quality/construction is so-so. You really need to step up to the $125-150k+ semi-custom units to get a true residential quality, but weight will obviously go through the roof as well.

Overall, I'd have no problems recommending this unit to full time in within this price range.

We've been considering upgrading to a toy hauler for full timing as well. I work remotely and could use the garage as an office, then a large dining room for guest and even haul around a smart car for my wife so that we both have vehicles. My biggest issue is the plans we like have 18k GVW with 6k of cargo. With my new F-350 SRW I'm only rated to 16k. Ironically even with a 2k lb smart cat we'd never reach 6k of payload...

If you're planning on buying new toy hauler, you can always special order your vehicle from the manufacturer with a floor plan and the special things you want built in and included.

Have been fulltiming in 2010 Keystone Raptor 300mp (35'6") with 10' garage since July 2011. Retrofitted bottom queen bed space with 2011 booth/dinette configuration in garage. Added Splendide combo washer/dryer and upright freezer. So far has worked perfectly. Only issue with this years model is that it does not have as much storage space as the newer models. We added a 6' tall, 8" deep cabinet (from Ikea) against the wall next to the entry door, using the 2nd step leading to the bedroom as a base and creating additional usable support to the floor. Garage does have AC vents but no heating ducts. Did add 2nd AC in bedroom (was pre-wired), which we have not had to use yet, but wanted it just in case. Would get unit with as high an R rating (insulation) as possible. Would like to have had a unit which also included a dinette area in the living area, but did not want to go any larger than 36'. Only 2 of us, so not really an issue.

Then consider a F-450 truck, dual alternators, and one of them chaned out to make it 130 amp 24 volt to run a 24 volt inverter/charger that can run the A/C unit.

We full time in our voltage but stay mostly on paved roads. Ours is one of the few that has a 14 foot garage and is the legal max of 102 wide. I have seen mentioned a few new units with larger garages but have not seen any of them. The RV group is going to in general have more ground clearance than the race car group will, most of them are built as low as possible to enhance ease of loading.
Make sure that whatever you choose will not only have room for your stuff but also be rated to handle the weight. The wet weight of these units can get very close to max weight not leaving much capacity for the toys and support equipment.
The garage areas are usually not as well insulated as the rest of the unit, especially the floor since that is where the fuel tanks go. Looking at your desires I would guess that many of the existing offerings can be made to work for you and if you like the floor plan I would highly recommend the TH that is in my sig.

There are two kinds, combined and independent garage;
and four types of toy haulers, (1) trailer (2) 5th Wheel (3) Class C and (4) Class A .
I have a 37' Class A Damon Outlaw with an independent garage area
which carries my full dress Harley Davidson and Cricket Golf Cart.
I have been full timing since 2010.

I have seen a couple of campers full timing in a toyhauler, and think it is a great way to go. You can put some huge recliners in the living room spaces.

I guess one problem is that they might not spend so much attention to insulating the garage area, even though it would spend more time as a living room than a garage.

They would have the following advantages, I would like them all.

Larger than average fresh and grey water tanks.

Not only has generator prep, but usually comes with a gas tank and generator.

Many times has overhead storage compartments, has a fairly tall roofline too.

I think I would consider a toyhauler for quite a while before deciding on the trailer to full time in.

Then consider a F-450 truck, dual alternators, and one of them chaned out to make it 130 amp 24 volt to run a 24 volt inverter/charger that can run the A/C unit.

We spend 5-6 mos per year in a Heartland TH. It has served us well.
