All our income is electronically deposited. What is the best financial institution to use to obtain cash without ATM charges while traveling across the USA. Thank you.

Our bank pays the ATM fee at any bank, it shows up as a credit on the monthly statement.

USAA refunds ATM Fees up to $15 a month.

BOA is almost everywhere, no fee at their ATM, depending on account type.

Wells Fargo. 6,200 branches. 12,000 ATMS. I have a mortgage through Wells Fargo and that gets me free checking.

I agree with those who suggest getting cash back at Walmart and other retailers (no fee).

Travelers checks are another option - protecting you from loss in case of theft. But I'm finding they're hard to cash due to a prevalence of fraud.

Simple Banking, online system

You can access ATMs in 7-11s and CVS nationwide with no fees.

The one that has the most branches in relation to the places you'll be going to.

The fly in the ointment is, how far out of your way will you go to accomplish that? Real banks are in cities.

Walmart will give up to $100 back with a purchase. Many others also. Sam's, Costo, etc. Never had a problem.

As you go from place to place as you need cash, use grocery stores, Wal-Mart, other places as a place to get cash. I have found over the last decade that my need for cash is minimal.

When I do need cash that I can't get from normal shopping, I get $200-$300 at a pop from an ATM and consider the fee as a convenience charge and shrug it off.

A nationwide bank is you best option, or a credit union that rebates the fees.

I would stay with what ever bank you have and get cash back when you do your shopping. It is very easy to do this at Walmart.
