Census 2020

GoodDay, I just finished training to be an enumerator for the 2020 Census. That is the field person you see that drops off the forms.

Some of the things I learned:

The 2020 Census forms will be mailed to most people, however if you get your mail at a PO Box, PMB or some mail forwarding services you will-not- receive one by mail

Also we are trained to ask managers at Parks/Campgrounds "Does anyone live here full time"
NOT
"Does anyone here live in an RV full time"

Assuming other enumerators don't stumble on that little difference it is possible the Census may -not- reach out to you and you must reach to be counted.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

To vote in a presidential election, you must be 18 years old a citizen of the USA, as defined in art. 1 sec. 4 of the US constitution. Census should identify citizenship, legal status or ( ahem ) other residency. pollsters should verify citizenship, legal residency to ensure compliance. States are permitted to enact their own voting requirements in elections in that state level, Federal elections are citizens only.
Once (1980) when I lived in Canade a census taker asked if I vote. I said no, I'm not a Canadian citizen, I am a landed immigrant. She asked what does that matter? I replied to do so would impress my idealogies on citizens.
She did not know the laws of her own country.
It is not wrong to prove eligibility to vote.

We use Escapees mail service which is NOT a PMB but a legal domicile address. However, if this is sent to "occupant", we'll probably never see it as we have them purge anything but First Class mail.

Per Escapees FAQ page
What will my address be?

You will have a street address and a personal mail box (PMB) number on Rainbow Drive in Livingston, Texas. It will look something like this, although your street address and PMB will be different:

123 Rainbow Dr, #456
Livingston, TX 77399
