2006 Adventurer 38R

We're looking at buying this unit. Any pros and cons we should know about before spending our hard earned money?

Note: The 2006 Adventurer 38R was only built on the Workhorse W24 chassis. The W24 had a completely different braking system than the W22. Thus never a brake recall on the W24.

I would not purchase a 2005 or 2006 38R unless it was on the W24 chassis. In 2005 the 38R standard chassis was the W22. The W24 was a $4530 option.

Make sure it is a Ford 2006 or later.

I've had one breakdown in Lake Havasu City, AZ. my coach still was running so I drove it to the Workhorse Dealer for repair. It was a faulty throttle switch that was repaired in 15 minutes and cost me $50.00 plus tax. Good Luck with your new coach.

I have a 2005 Itasca Suncruiser 38R. We ordered from the factory. The 38R is an excellent floorplan, in my opinion. We are considering selling it. 32,000 miles

If a workhorse chassis, make sure recall was done.

We have a 2006 Voyage.They are about the same,I would be happy to share what I know or have experienced.
