Anyone have an info on 2013 Roadtrek 170, good or bad. Also, where is the house battery located. I have a 2001 RT 190 P Dodge and the house battery is located under the bed in the left side and very difficult to check. Thank you for any info.

I have a 2006 Roadtrek 170 on the Chevy 2500 chassis with the 6.0 motor. 170 The house battery is located in a panel just behind the rear passenger tire.

In 2010 and newer models, the battery will be a no maintenance AGM type.

I've had my 170 for a year now and really like it. It handles well, gets decent fuel mileage (14 around town, 17.5 on the highway), is easy to park, and has all the inside features of other Roadtreks.

The only downside is the sleeping area is smaller. The bed is 6' side to side, and 4' wide - which can be a tight fit for two tall adults.

Other than the size of the bed, it is a great motorhome.

FYI: the main difference between the 2006 model and the 2013 is the AGM battery and the indash GPS.

have you tried roadtrek:

http://www.roadtrek.com/brochures/

pull down menu will get you the 2013 ( or about any model year) brochure.

youtube has a couple of pretty good videos from dealers which run through the features.

I believe the 170 uses the lighter chassis which is good for MPG, with a 6 speed tranny and the 4.8L.
I have a 4.8 in my 2001 Sierra ( 4 spd auto) and at 160,000 miles is flawless. mpg at about 18 at 70~75 mph. expect less maybe with a heavier van ( but the streamlining + 6 speed will help)

I assume you have been in a 170- kinda tight and they sleep sideways, so how tall are you?
