303 Protectant and/ or wax

I read a thread the other day that suggested using 303 Protectant on the sids of an RV to help protect against sun and UV damage to the fiberglass and decals. I live in Arisona and my MH sits on the west side of my house, so it gets some pretty good afternoon sun exposure. If using the 303, would it be applied before or after waxing?

Thanks!

A friend of mine treated half his fiberglass roof with 303, and the other half with Protect-All. After six months he stated that 303 won the contest for durability. He treats the top to eliminate the white streaks bleeding down on the side of his coach. the half treated with the 303 was still holding up, but the protect-All treated half was bleeding white streaks on the sides.

Tried an area on my rv with 303 and another spot with Protect All, the Protect All won the shine contest plus they go on and off in the same fashion. Protect All has UV protection plus Carnuba. I also use Protect All on the interior of my truck plus the exterior.
Protect All

I use the 303 on tires though

I have been using 303 aerospace on my camper for a year now. I really like the way it goes on and wipes off. I use a micro cloth to wipe on the 303, I then put the damp cloth in a zip loc bag till I need it again. I use another micro cloth or a towel to wipe it off. I found the best price on Cabela's web site.

I spray it on a buffing pad of a random orbital and buff it till it is dry, spreading it on an area about 4x4 feet.

I have been using 303 since 1993. I do not wax anymore.
I haave found no reference to it being manufactured in China and the poster that stated it was could give me no reference to confirm his statement. My guess is he found a knock-off product using the same name.

There was a discussion on this forum awhile ago about the changes with 303 protectorent. I guess it is now made in China and that the previous chemical warnings are not there now so the formula may have changed.

Most of my experience is with fiberglass boats in the marine environment, not RV's, but I have had the best results with the 303 on decals, and NuFinish polish on fiberglass. I usually use the 303 on the decals first, paying particular care to make sure all the decal edges get a good coat of 303. I then apply the NuFinish to the fiberglass, trying to avoid the edges of the decals the best I can. I have had some decals fail at the edges, and it might have been because some of the solvents in the wax, so I don't take chances anymore .....
