We are looking at purchasing a new Fleetwood Discovery and I have a question:
The brochure lists "Dual High-Efficiency Roof Air Conditioners with Solar Panel, Chill Grills and Bedroom Heat Pump". What is the purpose of the solar panel.

the description just should have stated the AC also serves as a mount for a solar panel that will put out a trickle charge to maintain the battery, usually the chassis battery. It has nothing to do with the AC system. except to serve as a mount for the panel.

To keep your batteries from running down due to small constant drains. This will increase the life of the batteries.
