Add a bunk?

We have a 2010 Coachmen Mirada that we love. We sometimes take our two grandkids with us and they are getting too big to sleep on the dinette sleeper. The fold out couch is not very convenient and I am wondering if it is possible to add an after-market "over-cab" bunk. Has anyone done this?

Have you considered this lower (in position and price) option?

Not sure how practical this would be or if it would even work but I always thought it was very cool.

If RV manufactures offered this as a sofa option, I'm sure there would be many parents and grandparents that would consider it.

No, I haven't checked into it at all yet. Just thought someone might have experience with it. I'm gong to be at my dealership next week to make an inquiry.

Have you done any research to determine if an overhead bunk was an option for your coach from the factory?
