I have a 2001 Dolphin with a living room slide out & a bed room slide out.
The living room slide out I can get to the gears to clean & lube.
But the bed room slide out is covered up inside & outside.
The slides are by Power gear.
How do I lube the bed room slide out?
Thanks

I put some old Christmas candle wax on the bottom of the slide.
It did help a lot.
Maybe I should get in touch with power gear about new slide pads?????

I also used a top brand of Carnuba wax that is for my black '88 Mustang, but it seems to work better on the car than under the slide. That's when I used the parafin and it does seem to last longer.
You also might want to use it on the wood that the nylon pieces slide on. Little sandpaper, if you can get to the wood, and lots of parafin.

I'll have to look for slide marks, outside under the slide out.
Thanks

On mine the box slides on some nylon blocks, I lube the bottom of the slide box with Mothers Carnuba wax.. That Paraffin wax idea might be as good or better.

Mine squealed a lot too so I checked under the bed and found one of the little Plastic (?) slides was coming apart, so I replaced it. I also used some paraffin, yes good old paraffin like we used to rub on our sled runners, and lubed it good. I then went out and looked under the slide and saw that there were rub marks on the underside and rubbed those areas with the wax and ran it in and out several times waxing it each time. Amazing ,but the squeal stopped. I have also used that old engine belt lube that comes in a little tube. I have used that stuff on the belts of every vehicle I have owned and it does increase the life of the belts.

If it's anything like my old Fleetwood with Powergear, the bedroom slide was powered by a self contained motor/gearbox that was connected to the shaft. No lubing needed , but you could lube the grads on the shaft, but since they are enclosed inside the bed base, they never get dirty or loose lube.. You had to take the mattress off the bed and remove a couple sheets of plywood that formed the bed base to get to the workings of the slide.
