I'm now officially a Class C RVr. Was outside working on my rig, trying to find a good place to mount the tire pressure sensor display. Dude drives up and asks if I want to sell the Travel trailer sitting in my side yard. After some negotiation and looking a the the unit, we agree on a price. I bought this unit several years ago to replace the one wrecked in an accident. Problem was after that accident we're both a bit scared to drive it too far. So it didn't get used much. Sat in the side yard and used for an extra bedroom on occasion. Since this guy said he'd take it as it, I though why not, was going to clean it up and sell it anyways this summer. What I hadn't realized was there was a pretty big leak in the back end and the top was rather mushy. Slide took some effort to move in, I think the snow on it moved it out of alignment. Was hoping that the wheels and brakes hadn't frozen up while sitting there. Ordinary I'd feel guilty about selling the unit in this condition, but they guy was a flipper, and was going to refurb and sell it anyways. Let him deal with it. Difference he paid me, and what blue book says, He'll be lucky to break even and I didn't have to do any of the work. Not sure how much of an RVr he was, pulled up in a brand new E150 eco boost truck. Didn't want to set up the leveler bars, didn't seem to check tire pressure on a unit that had been sitting for several years. Hooked it up and drove off. Hope he made it home. Not my problem anymore. One thing, the awning had torn several years ago, so I pulled it off and stuffed into the garage. Since it was 18' long he didn't want it, but took the side legs. Any idea what to do with the long round part with a torn canvas? It's sitting in my front yard, not sure if it's worth anything.
You know what they say, happiest days of an rv owner, the day he buys it and the day he sells it. Looking forward to long road trip this summer in the "C" lot easier to drive than that monstrosity I just sold.
