Thank you all for the info. The Oasis is just what we are looking for. Our granddaughter is just starting at the university and we are going to drop in and see her

Never been to Oasis and from what I read it is nice resort, but "near Las Vegas Blv" it is a bit misleading.
LVB is long street, but quick look at map shows about 7 miles walk to MGM or NY resorts.
Circus Circus is 1/4 miles from the Strip in central location and if you are good hiker, you can walk from there to all best resorts on the Strip.
Then if University is your prime target, KOA/Sams with the lowest prices might be the best.

The KOA at Circus Circus is now closed.

It wasn't closed about three weeks ago.

The best about Circus Circus is that you can park your RV there for $36 weekday, or for $27 take a room.
Just beware about resort fees and rates skyrocketing for weekends.

I understand there is an RV Park at the Circus Circus. No longer a KOA though. They claim 170 spaces.

What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

Take a look at Sam's Town. This time of year camping in LV is cheap but Oasis will always be over priced compared to any other option other than the Motor Home "Resort".

Unless you're into marathons you aren't walking from Oasis to the main part of the strip. That is why they have a shuttle bus or you bring a toad.

I agree with Oasis, This park has 3 types of sites. Back in (Cheapest) Nose to tail (Slightly more) and pull through (VERY NICE)

There are many others but OASIS is at the south end of the strip. near Las Vegas Blvd and Blue Diamond Hwy (the road over the hump to Parump) and when I was there last it was, I believe a Harrah's property and ran a shuttle to all their Casinos.. This means you need not drive to visit the strip since the shuttle will get you there no charge. Harrah's properties are all over the city.. My daughter used to work for 'em.

Enjoy the stay.. If you have a chance catch a show or two.. The Penn & Teller is great as is the Legends show. Hint: At one show they had Matri d' seating.
Well he took us to some decent seats but they were off to the side. Then he and I shook hands and suddenly he recalled he had some better seats (marked reserved it turns out) and he took us straight to those. FRONT ROW CENTER.

Wonder if it had anything to do with the portrait of Andrew Jackson that was on the paper which moved from my hand to his as we shook?
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Las Vegas university

Start with pointing where you want to be close to.
Bare in mind that there is MUCH more to see in Las Vegas than University.
University of Nevada is not the best neighborhood

The closest to UNLV, easiest to get to, and probably the best for you is the Oasis RV Park.
