Good morning everyone: We will be stopping in St. Louis, Mo in a couple of weeks and was looking for suggestions on where to stay in or near St. Louis, Mo in our MH. Does anyone know of free casino and free camping in the area?

Thanks, Vikki

We have stayed here 2 or 3 times and find it to be adequate camping venue for St. Louis. The Katy Trail runs behind the campground and if you like to bike ride it is a treat.

Casino Queen also has a full hook up RV park on site. You have a view of the Arch and the water spout from their campground. Last year they did allow free parking in front of the park if that's your thing. For the price though, I'd rather be inside with the hookups....Dennis

Vikki,

We seem to pass through St. Louis a lot. We often overnight at the Casino Queen that is right on Front St. in East St. Louis. There is a free lot there that suits us well as we usually only want to sleep and it is flat and quiet. You can also get the shuttle to pick you up and take you to the door from there. There is also a very nice RV park that usually seems to be closed when we get there because we are too late or the wrong time of year.

If you want to stay close to the City, you can not beat this location. Also close to rapid transit lines.

We visited St. Louis this spring and stayed in Eureka,MO. at KOA West, 30 miles west just off I-44. Nice quiet campground. About a half hour from the Gateway Arch in downtown St. Louis. There's a Six Flags amusement park at the exit but it was not open when we visited in the early spring; just an FYI. I also suggest you look at the site "rvparkreviews.com" for info.

We stayed here http://www.hollywoodcasinostlouis.com/ last year. It's west of the city, right off of I-70. The RV and truck lot is big but a little noisy from the trucks.
