Hi, I'm a new RV owner (35' Winnebago Adventurer 2001) and still learning the ropes. I own a 2008 Jeep Commander 2WD (5.7L V8 Hemi Limited) and am trying to find out if I can tow it with the RV. If I can tow it, can I do 4 wheels down or need to use tow dolly, or tow trailer? Any help would be appreciated!

Remember that SCH911 is an automotive engineer working on Jeeps. His answer was first & correct.

The following is a quote from the owner's manual:
"RECREATIONAL TOWING (BEHINDMOTORHOME, ETC.)
Towing โ€“ 2WD Models
Recreational towing is allowed ONLY if the driveshaft is removed. Towing with the rear wheels on the ground while the driveshaft is connected can result in severe transmission damage.

Rear wheel drive cars can usually have a driveshaft disconnect installed.

Look in your Jeep Commanders owners manual under RV towing and they should tell you.

No. But if you remove the drive shaft you could, or there are some third party driveshaft disconnect systems out there also.
