My 99 31' Coachmen Catalina needs tires badly, can you good folks point me in the direction that you are using for tires?
Thanks

Just bought new Michelins thru FMCA,saved a lot of money.Well worth the membership.Very easy process if you use a tire dealer that is familiar with the Michelin program

Does anyone have any experience with the firestones ? FMCA has Continentals what about them, they are $50.00 higher and I still have to ship and all the mount balance?

We use Bridgestone tires on our coach and in 16+ years never had a problem. Keep in mind, the tires on your coach are the weakest link between it and and the pavement on the roads you travel so I don't believe in saving $$$ on tires that may be of a lesser quality.

Good luck with your choice and safe travels....:)

You'll find that there are many good 19.5 tires available. Toyo, Bridgestone, Cooper, Double Coin, etc.,etc.. Where I get my tires these days is from Amazon. I'm a prime member and the tires are shipped free, than I have them installed at a Love's tire shop at their truck stop shop.

Here's how to compare sizes: Compare Tire Sizes

Amazon has a Double Coin in the size you mention for under $200: 245/70R19.5

Over 13 years of full timing, I've used several different brands and they've all been good. Probably because they've been commercial truck tires not specific RV tires. I don't care for the Michelin tire line because they're just too soft I guess, and start developing sidewall cracking very quickly. None of the Toyo's, Double Coin, or Bridgestone truck tires, (and now Roadlux 22.5 on my current bus) I've ever bought have had excessive sidewall cracking.

We took off our Michelins and replaced them with Bridgestones, we're very pleased.

For the 19.5s, take a look at Simpletire.com
There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

Last year was our first year with the coach, we took a 2500 mile trip through South Dakota and Yellowstone then through Laramie and to Estes Park. I know we will do about another 1,500 this year on one trip, and however much I can get out besides that.
