This is a personal choice, your needs (lots of room or smaller). I have not had a Class A, but I have had travel trailers, 5th wheels, one truck camper and now we have what we like the best, a small Class C. Our Winnebago View Profile 24v, 25' long, diesel, lots of room the two of us, plenty of storage inside and outside. It is so easy to drive and park. Our mileage has been as low as 15 (once) and over 17 three times and our total average is 16.03. We have traveled over 10,000 since Aug 2013 and for us it is great for traveling and camping for a week in one spot too. A Class A would have more of everything, storage, living space and your mileage would be a lot less, but who buys an RV to save money. We also had a Roadtrek 190 Chevy gas, we got 16 mpg very good traveling RV just to small for us. Rent a Class A or a C and try it out. Good luck - Dale
