Coleman low profile heatpump question

Came from a fifth wheel with the roof units that hang down from the ceiling. They had a hatch that you opened and took out the filter for cleaning. Now have the Coleman units. Where is the filter? I can't find an access panel anywhere since there is no interior part of the unit. Do I have to access from the roof? Doesn't seem efficient.
Anybody else with experience with the Colemans?

Thank you all,
While reading your thread I suddenly realized I have never cleaned the A/C vent filters in my five year old motor home. Just finished cleaning them. And BOY did they need it!
Thanks again.

The procedure to replace the AC filters is on page 4-12 of your owners manual. If you don't have a copy here's a link to the online one from the Winnebago website:

sounds great....question #2, how do you remove the covers? tried unscrewing them but they just turn. Don't want to pull on them unless I know that's the correct method.

Can you see the filter material? If yours just turn, then you have to pull them straight down while turning. Doug

no, only round. I think Doug nailed it. Have one type of vent going down drivers side and a different type going down passenger. Looking up each with a flashlight, there is a filter just inside each of the drivers side. Just can't figure how to open them.

Do you have any rectangular vents in the ceiling? My 5th-wheel has four rectangular return-air vents which are hinged to access the filters. My round vents are outlet vents and they contain no filters.

The Filters are installed by the OEM, not Coleman. The usual design of Ducted AC without the older 14 by 14 interior ceiling vent is to use the round ceiling plenum ducts. Most RV's the Drivers side are the return vents and the filters are in each vent. You remove the round vent and the filter is mounted to it. You can clean them, you do not have to replace. Doug

Sounds like you have a ducted air conditioning system. If so, the filter(s) will be just inside each A/C vent. Remove a vent cover and see if you see a filter.
