I started buying Deka batteries exclusively 3 years ago, after optima moved production.

My motorhome (new in 2001) came with Interstate. Since then, I've used the Sams' Club batteries, DEKA, and Pep Boys. I don't think a brand matters. No matter what I've used, I get 3-4 years out of them then have to change them.
I go for the bucks.

Google "Johnson Controls" . They make most of the battery names anyway.

House batteries in the coach are Deka 8D AGMs. Best bang for the buck imo.

I used to use Interstate U-2200, but this last time a local auto parts store had Deka golf cart 6 volt batteries on hand. So I did not want to drive sixty miles to get the Interstate batteries and ended buying the Deka batteries. Now going on my second year with them and they seem to be pretty good so far. Cost a lot less then the Interstates.

East penn Battery makes Deka and MK, DEKA, is, I believe, their "Good" line,

I had MK AGMs. was not impressed but I just put DEKA's in this motor home times 3 (two GC-2 one Group 78 starting battery)

They are still MADE IN THE USA by the way, not imported. With other brands I'm never so sure.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

I agree with Ronnie's post a great battery! They have been in business since 1946! That speaks for itself!

Our four 6v Dekas are from 2007, replacing them this weekend with Crown. I think care is more important than brand.

Deka batteries are great and they are made in the USA. East Penn Manufacturing is the company name.
All of my AGM's are Deka and are going on four years with no problems at all.
