Tomorrow, at the crack of dawn, we pull out for the Empire Polo Grounds to attend the 3 day Desert Trip concert. To say I'm beyond excited would be an understatement. Work has kept us at home ALL summer and it didn't look like we'd get out in the RV at all this year. But now? Stub hub tickets, a ridiculously expensive RV park near the polo grounds and we've managed to combine our love of classic rock music (performed LIVE no less!) and traveling the open road into one fabulous weekend!
No advice needed this time, I just wanted to tell someone ๐
what park are u staying in that's ridiculous expensive? Motorcoach
or Outdoor resorts indio
We're staying at Indian Waters. And since you asked, you now get to hear my thoughts on economics ๐ We are paying over $120/night, 3 night minimum (no problem, we were planning on 3 nights) What I take issue with is the $27/night rate available the rest of the week. I don't begrudge people making money, they're not a non profit. But what some people call supply/demand looks like gouging to me and just because you can, doesn't mean you should..... to add insult to injury, $120 and no cable TV (really just kidding about that, but still would've been nice....)
you most likely could have stayed at the 5 star RV resort called Outdoor resorts Indio just a few blocks west of Indian waters
complete with wifi and cable Tv for same or less money. Did u not think to check there? although I forgot top ask what your RV is? its restricted to 34 and longer Class A MH
ORI rates are 75$-85$ till October 31

I know nothing about the festival and had to look it up to see where it was...Indio, Ca. Have fun. It looks like an absolutely once in a lifetime event.

Old-chella, nice sounds like a great time, they have had it all over the news about the discount tickets being sold due to the less than expected turn out. I wish I could go.
