Yes, it is Hot - Hot - Hot here too!!
Lovely wife observes that 'the air conditioning is not cooling very well'!
OH, O!! says I - thinking (cause ours is an older coach) may be time for service & freon charge (at big $$ for us).

BUT...putting my hand up to the overhead outlet, the airflow is thin.
Let's see - when was the last time you cleaned the filters?? Can't remember?? DO IT!!

So a trip with them to the outside faucet (they are the permanent plastic type) and LOADS of crud & dust is washed away!!

Reinstalled, the A/C is back to normal - Happy Wife - Happy Life!!

(Cleaning of the A/C filters was not on my monthly maintenance checklist - but doing it is now!!)

Or, find the leak and have it fixed and recharge it.

wash out that condenser on top also and if you have any damaged fins, get a fin comb and get them as straight as possible, if you can't get the heat out of the Freon, you can absorb as much from the inside air.

Some cool time you might wish to go up on the roof. Pop the covers (properly remove them) and inspect the CONDENSER.. Clean as needed and re-cover.. Then while you are up there.. Mop (or long handled soft carwash brush) bucket, Spic & Span and garden hose.. MOP THE ROOF.

Doing that can turn a hot box into a meat freezer.

They are SEMI-permanent type.
The actual filter media is plastic too and it tends to become brittle over time. If pieces flake off........not good.

If over 5 years old, you might want to consider new filters.

Mine is the plastic foam type without a frame.
Handling it caused pieces to flake off.
A replacement cost about $2.

If it is a ducted AC unit, make sure that ALL air coming from the fan is going in to the ducts and NOT leaking around various gaps in to the roof frame of your RV.
