The MH in my signature has become Ihard to start and falls flat when I give it the gas. The problem seams to be progressing. Changed fuel filter before trip, ran can of seaform. Still does it when it's hot. Runs normal once im driving.

The strike isn't what bothers me the most, it's the fact I got that close (or unaware of the object) that it happened. I might not be so lucky next time.

You'll be surprise what a buffer can do. Might need to take it to a shop where they have the big one though.

Suspect quite a lot of that will buff out with rubbing/polishing compound, leaving only the horizontal mark.

Hey Gary I feel for ya.
We just returned from putting a a few thousand miles without any issues except for a blown cigarette lighter fuse the brake buddy was plugged into on the jeep.
That all ended when I was backing her up my side lawn.
I have to thread her between a tree and a large bush along side the street then up a angled fairly steep front grass lawn. Really not shure what happened but smashed into my deck :S could have been much worse. New light on order not to shure what I can do with bumper.

. Not only did we see whales today but Orcas and a white shark chasing a seal. Pretty exciting. We are back at the campsite now and watching orcas chasing seals. My grandson says it was more exciting than seeing that grizzly bear come through there campsite while backpacking outside of Yellowstone. Makes up for the autopark going out in Ohio at 60 mph, the awning blowing off in Wy with 40 mph cross winds and hitting a stump and caving in my door in Glacier and the fuel pump problem in Spokane.

I blew air in the hose and heard bubbles so i new line was good to the tank but the fuel pump was not getting voltage disconnected line to pump and reconnected and all is well again. Wish all problems were that easy. Sitting in south beach CG in Olympic NP right on the Pacific Ocean very nice watching the sunset. Thanks Bud for the CG recommendation.

I am going to try to blow air into line to see if I can hear bubbles. If so I do have a spare fuel pump for it.

The way it is tucked up there you will never see it.

Gary, try following the fuel line for the gen to the tank. Get underneath with a strong light, and try looking on top of the tank to see if you can see the fuel line running to the tank access cover, to see if you can determine the problem. It may have become disconnected during install, or as you suspect, kinked. It is time for you to have some GOOD LUCK.

You sure are not having luck at all!
Have Jimmy check to see if rubber line is visible and give tug on it.
If not are you going to call Jim on it? Your loop as we planned will put you fairly close back here.

Sorry I couldn't help. I seldom look in this forum anymore. Good news is I would have not thought it was your fuel pump, so good thing I didn't help. ๐Ÿ˜‰

FWIW,

DW and I would go for 6 months cross country in our '96 GBM Cruise Master. It was a nice rig and I took very good care of it. It got to a point where I no longer trusted we could go anywhere in it because of the age, and what time does to things.

A RV'er friend told me maybe I should sell it to someone who would use it locally and love it for that purpose. That's exactly what happened, they are having a blast with it, never going more then a days drive from their home.

It was a good idea, and the stress of going cross country with a 20 year old rig is no longer there. MH don't go cross country forever regardless what some would like to think on this forum.

Glad to hear you're up and running again. Take care.

Wildman you are right after two days in a Walmart parking lot shock set in, then despair when I could not find a shop to take me in for a week. I had a bad experience 3 years ago when someone on here recommended a shop and I could not get in so I went by that shops recommendation. I was having a clunking noise in the front end that I could not figure out they told me it was the coil spring need to be reseated and my front end looked good and charged me $380. In Ohio the upper left ball joint broke and the whole front end came crashing down. It happened on a ramp and I was going about 30 mph. I was just thankful it did not fail coming down the mountains of Colorado. Shop in Ohio that my insurance co. found for me installed the wrong ball joint again and had to be changed when I got back to CT. So finding the right shop in an unfamilar place is inportant. The only problem now is my generator does not start and I see no fuel in the filter when I crank it I hope they did not pinch a line when they reinstalled the tank.

Big problem when on the road in strange area is trying to find a good shop to work on the rig.
I called three of my favorite more reliable shops here, to get a speedy location to get into.
Two of my shops are out a couple of weeks.
