Found a broken wire and can't find termination points

While inspecting underneath I found a broken or chewed through wire and I can't seem to locate the termination points.
It's a single brown wire...it comes up through the floor above the rear driver side fender well which is the corner between the bedroom and the bathroom. It runs along the top of the frame on the drivers side at rear. Everything electric seems to be working so nothing obvious jumps out. What do this wire feed and where does it terminate?

This is where it comes up through the floor:

Here is where it is boken and seems to just dead-end...I can not find the other end of the wire:

Could be an old wire someone replaced part of and didn't finish the job? I would agree with K_Charles though maybe a side marker?
