Once again Good Sam is right on top of it------Left the lights on, came back 6 hours later to a dead battery. Called Good Sam and was on my way in about 30 min. So far GS has never failed me.....Also thanks to Bobs towing Durham, NC

I had Coach Net for the past 4 years, and service was excellent. Good Sam offered a better deal, so I signed up with them this time. Been watching GS and reviews have been very positive since Marcus Lemonis took over GS & Camping World.

We left the rear hatch slightly open on the Saturn and battery was deader than a doornail! I have an app on my smart phone for Godd Sam ERS and it gave me the number, called and they had all my info. They contacted local service and texted me their name, phone number and ETA. Showed up in half the time, jumped battery and off we went.

So far, so good!

I still would not have much work done at CW as I keep hearing horror stories about their seeming incompetence. Also have a local RV service that is excellent.

Happy Trails!

The only time I've ever had a problem with a service provider is when they sent out one of those road warriors for a jump start and his battery thingy wouldn't start my PSD Excursion. No charge for the call and the guy in the next campsite had one of those 75 amp black and deckers from Wal-mart and that took care of it. I now have one of those too.
I have had GS for 15 years and no other problems.
Oh and 30 minute response, had a fire on I-5 in Southern oregon, got it out and called GS and a big tow truck from 25 miles away was there in 45 minutes.

Thats their speciality, big RVs, 5ers, etc.....I would think it would at times take a while to get a big tow truck to tow an RV as those things cost half a million and aren't sitting on every corner but thats what they do.....I know of one being towed from Southern Pa to Winchester Va Cummins dealer for repairs. Thats a long haul.

I see them quite a lot in Bay Area.
The one that come to give us a jump was just one of those small vans with small battery pack.

Ok, I stand corrected on that then. I haven't seen one before. Do they also have trucks and equipment capable of handling our larger RV's? And tow with no distance limits?

Give me a break----Lets be clear, it was not the DP it was the Saturn I left the lights on---with a 9 year old battery I might add. Tow truck had a big ol Good Sam decal on the door and if you look at the home page of this site Good Sam is $79.00 the first year------go get that AAA that left me in a phone booth for 6 hours in 20 degree weather----that was pretty quick as they used to just not show up at all some times......

Coincidentally just today got big letter from Good Sam. Must be the result of signing to this forum just weeks ago.
Lot of flyers, lot of BS about discounts here, discounts there. free temporary membership, but reading it 3 times I did not find a quote how much membership cost.

Personally I am not impressed with 30 minutes response time.
Called AAA few months ago and they've been there in 17 minutes.

I've never seen a AAA tow truck either. Just trucks where the owner bothered to slap on the decals that AAA sent them. I once had a tow truck stop to offer assistance before I had even called Coach-Net. So what? Response time is more a function of distance and availability than what ERS plan you have. Allstate seems to do a pretty good job for Good Sam over all. At least I see significantly fewer complaints on the forums than when they used Road America's call center.

Seems like some people can use the system and have good luck...others not so much. My guess is the success stories far outweigh the rants found here.

oh well----I figure they have made money on me----just open a acount in wifes name and continue. Seems like there is always detractors---I also had 2 claims with Progressive and never saw an increase in rates as others suggested would happen......Guess I am just lucky.

GOOD JOB GOOD SAM

Not to worry; the naysayers will be along shortly to detail their horror stories and to accuse the op of being a shill for GoodSam. ๐Ÿ™‚
