Holding tank treatment

Which of these three do you think is the best holding tank treatment?

Happy Campers Odorless Holding Tank Treatment
Pure Power Blue Holding Tank Treatment
Bio-Active Holding Tank Treatment
Something else

I know to use plenty of water and it's a holding tank and it's going to stink.

Happy Campers it is.

That was my choice from reading about them but the others have pretty good reviews. I too live in the heat and do not dump ever two or three days. I've used the Geo System for about 6 or 8 years and it works well to keep the tank in good shape. Just want something for standing sewage odor.

Keep in mind that many areas (still, especially in the west) have water use restrictions due to drought and many RV parks either draw their water from wells, or have septic systems, etc. So it's a good neighbor policy to never dump/refill/dump...multiple times while camping. There are many many treatments for RV tanks that do not use excess water.

I leave my valves closed and dump every 10 days. Sometimes pour in some Calgon, a cup of Dawn, and drive with a nearly full tank.

I have tried many different products, but for the last few years I have used Happy Campers. It is the best I have ever seen. We have also gone two weeks without dumping. There was no smell whatsoever. Happy Campers makes for a happy wife and happy life.

Water, water and more water.
However, as a direct answer to your question I have found Happy Camper to be the very best odor eliminator I have every used. I would put it up against any product out there and it's the only product I carry for times where I might be sitting hot weather for an extended period and not able to dump on a regular basis.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

Aqua-Kem or Campa-Chem from Walmart works best for us. Geo Method did not work for us. We use very little water.

we avg (2) weeks between dumps
you can't go (2) weeks on water and NOT have smell

if i was sitting somewhere with With FHU, and pulling the valve every (3) days water might work

water alone an't gonna cut it in hot weather and any real length of time between emptying the tank

Smell.........:H

Fix the vapor barriers and there IS no smell regardless of how stinky waste tanks (black AND grey) become.

your neighbors are gonna smell it from your plumbing vents

and you will when flush and clean the toilet

at least we DO if we don't use some treatment
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

Empty, fill with water, empty, fill with water, empty, fill with water, repeat several times after each use. When storing for a couple weeks, do the above, and at the end, add 2 gallons of HOT water mixed with Calgon and Dawn so it doesn't sit with a dry tank. Oh, and I usually add a small bottle of Camco TST toilet treatment in the clean tank at the start of a trip to help digest the waste as it's produced!
