House battery charge from engine not working

The coach batteries charge from shore power and geni, but looks not be be charging from engine. All breakers look ok inside, have not looked too deep, but looking for best place to start.
Looking at wiring diagrams and have not found if engine power trips the dual switch or feed another way.

Thanx Greg

Thanx for the ideas, I had the chance the other day to actually check the system. Solenoid closed and no change in power to coach battery voltage. Pulled cover off sol and it was all black and contacts on studs were all carbon-ed up and very very small contact point. put back together and works great. Got new one and used old one for spare.

the charging diode on the alternator may need to be replaced.

Yes, all motorhomes I am aware of charge both chassis and house battery banks fro the alternator.

Do you have a DIODE-BASED ISOLATOR or SOLNEOID-BASED ISOLATOR? Locate the isolator and check voltage IN and OUT.

Not sure what kind I have , I think solenoid from wire diagram.

Looks like the user has this: 2002 Itasca Suncruiser 35U Workhorse W22

The charge from the altenator will go through the emergancy start solenoid which will be turned on when the ignition is set to the run position. Check for a popped circuit breaker for the battery(mine was located under the pull up dash) or a bad fuse on the solenoid.

Greg, we need some more info.
Not all motorhomes are even setup to do that, and how they do it varies greatly by model, manufacturer, and year.

Please give us those details, I'm sure the exact help you need is here.
