How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

I'm new here, and curious.

How many of us in Class C own Dodge B300 incomplete
cab/chassis based RV's? I know two others- Steve aka
Ripsaw, with a 1977 Brougham, and Leroy aka 1978_Dodge
_Delta who owns a 440V8 powered sharp looking 1978
Delta RV. I would like to ask, and offer, help, idea
swapping and comparing notes on our particular RV's
which are based on the Dodge B300 van chassis.

Yeah, I know. These are low tech, podgy old RV's that
would be considered "entry level" for folks like me,
but I have a deep and abiding respect for the quality
of these old "monsters of the open road". And anyone
wanting to pick brains, joke about, share notes or just
brag about our old A- Dodge-io's are certainly welcome
to PM or email me. Between all of us we can form a real
good support group, and help each other with problems
we know we'll encounter with an older vehicle.

Sure. I'd love a new RV. But I'd rather have an older
one already paid for, and a lotta great memories. Call
me frugal, an old hippie, or whatever you will. I'm proud
of my old land yacht.

Mark aka White Knight

P.S. Mine's a '72. Is there an older one out there someone's
motorvating in? Maybe even a Travco? W/K

Geez, is anyone around here healthy? Whole?

I was feeling pretty sorry for myself (because no one else did) until I read this:

How is your knee, Jer? Walking? Canes aren't sexy, House has it wrong.

Dang, Jerry. Take it easy, be careful, follow their instructions.

My mother just had her knee replaced this summer at 76. She walks better now than she has in 20 years (with the one hip replaced twice in that period).

Well, seein' as how everyone is talking about health, I broke my leg at the knee this last March. The damage was so bad that I have to have my knee replaced on the 29th of nov. While they were doing my pre-surgery tests, they found that I have had a stroke in the area of my optic nerve. Lucky for me it healed by itself and I can't tell any difference. But now they have to run test to see if I can have the surgery without any complications. I don't think I've ever seen so many Dr's. Anyway, thanks for the pics Trish. I've got my RV packed for the winter already, hope you guys have a good winter too! Jer

Factory defect... Bearing seat was machined too thin causing the bearing to round out the seat. Only fix is to have the wheel re-machined and a sleeve put in (easiest cheapest) or have a different year rear wheel "assembly" put on (expensive and not any better than the other fix.)

I'm not planning on pushing it, believe me. Not to worry - I've been through all of this before (to a lesser extent).

Trouble is, you'll be my age someday and regret 'pushing' that ankle.
When I was your age, I could bull through the pain. Until I couldn't.

Kendas, the cane means you must put your entire body weight on the affected leg /ankle /foot to take a step. Not just yet.

Upside of crutches is fabulous lats, shoulders, and biceps. :0)

eyeteeth: No, I didn't know you started a job, good for you and, at the same time, bad for you with long hours. Still... A new job? In the Rust Belt? Now? That's a feat.

Just pullin your chain Leeann... USE THE CAIN! You REALLY don't want to screw up the work already done. I hurts more if it has to be done over again cause you did something dumb and I'll keep reminding you (along with a couple of others here too (right Trish?)) if you do. ๐Ÿ˜›

Break my wittle heart Leeann... Must be real hard on you taking a "...warm + epsom salt bath once or twice a day". :W

Put my rigs up for the winter.... didn't get out as much as we wanted but spent many hours painting inside and outside of the house etc.... stuff I had been putting off the last few years while I worked on the MoHo.
Hope you all heal up and have a safe winter.
I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!

Near a month of silence? This cannot continue.

I know Leeann's back to work. Getting along on crutches, but getting there.
I know I'm at the kitchen table.
But wherenhell is everyone else?

I think I had mentioned i finally started a new job at the end of September. Due to a few requirements I've been working 8-12 hours a day AND then studying another 3-6 hours. All I've been doing is sitting behind a computer screen. I have one certification out of the way and am starting a second. I was originally hoping to be done by now but hit a snag.

On the RV side... I haven't put mine away yet. We were still camping last weekend. It's been my sanity check to get away from computers for a bit.

Leeanne. ๐Ÿ˜ž owey.... hope it heals up quickly.

And some of us are working on their other "toy"... Putting more mid-eighties period aftermarket parts on the goldwing. Next up is to replace the rear wheel on it (wheel not tire). 84 (and late 85s) had a problem with a rear bearing race).

And?
More rehab? Another cast or wrap it?
How's feeling today after man-handling?

I'm on my way to the doc to (hopefully) get the cast off.

New brake booter & master cylinder are in the rv. Still have to bleed the system.
