Has anyone changed The pump due to ceramic plungers braking. I hear if they brake it goes through engine and destroys it. I think in the 600 hp Cummins. Mine is a 2012. Trucker forum says it’s not if they will brake but when. The do have a upgrade out changing them out to steel plungers.

Doubt you’ll put on enough miles for the ceramic plungers to start failing…300,000+.

Had to have fuel injector pump on my ISC changed last year. New pump was $6000 plus labor. Don't know about the 600HP but Cummins seems to be very proud of their fuel pumps.
