Inverter Question

I have a 2007 Winnebago Voyage. We are camping and after using the inverter traveling, we turned it off as usual when we plugged in. The TV and front plug do not work unless the inverter is turned on. The panel shows when it’s on, but the shore power light does not come on. I checked the usual suspects, breakers and ground fault plugs with no joy. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Outdare! I may not have been clear. It was installed by the factory. The panel is at the bottom of all the other electrical and tank panels in the hall. I assumed it was a separate unit from the converter. All advice is good and appreciated. I noticed you have an Allegro D. My son has a gasser Open Road. I get jealous every time we travel together! LOL!

Sorry for slow reply, been on the road. First, thanks for the good advice. The power is good, checked with meter. The key is off and out. I have always turned it on and off, didn’t think it would be good to leave it on plugged in. It is the separate converter/inverter, 600 watts. Where is the transfer switch lockout? It is in the bay where the 50 amp cord comes in. Never fooled with it before, so give me the kindergarten directions. ??

Sorry. Please disregard my reply & questions. I was thinking original inverter/charger installed by factory.

Check the transfer switch and there could be a lockout switch to keep it off during transit.

secondary issue. Why do you turn it off when plugged in? We only turn ours off when taking MH in for maintenance. It is designed to roll over from shore to inverter with no loss of power to items on inverted circuits.
