I'm looking at a Tiffin Allegro 32 ft gas class A for $49,000. Anyone have a opinion on whether this is a fair deal?

Really need more info to really say if this is a fair price.

Tire age? (If need replacing, do the math.)
Battery age? (Yep, do the math.)
Records available? (If not, then factor full flush/refill of radiator, trans, oil, differential, brake fluid, power steering fluid, all filters including air, and the same full service of the generator.)

All of the above can quickly add up to $4-7K or above. And even if they have records, check which of the above may need to be completed.

And as mentioned, if it does not match your needs and wants, then at any price it is not a good deal:)!

Best of luck, have fun - and if you have any doubts on any item, have it checked out thoroughly!

Congratulations!!!!!!
Nice gift to have under your tree. You will love it as we enjoyed our Allegro Bay for nine years. It was very reliable with only very minor problems. Enjoy it every chance that you can!!

I did the deal ... got new house batteries and towing for my Ford Escape thrown in, although it was pushing it at the end. Feel pretty good about it. We were at the dealer trying to convince ourselves to buy a Winnebago C new for about $20,000 more than we wanted to spend when this Tiffin came in on a trade. I feel good about saving the dollars and getting Tiffin quality.

Take delivery the 27th! Nice Christmas present.

That's a fair price if everything is in good shape. That's probably half of the price when it was new.

Tiffins are well built and 32 ft is really short for 2 people after about 2 months. Kinda like a Peterbilt. Biggest truck out there and gets smaller every day. After 3 weeks you have cabin fever from going down the road-----------------quote

I don't think this can be a catch all answer. We had a 32 footer Holiday Rambler gasser and the wife and I and Charlie our dog did just fine, Its the floorplan the does it. We spent regularly 2-3 months or more on the road and never felt we needed more.
The only reason we now have a 34 footer is my wifes arthritic problem prevents her from any gasser with a doghouse to lift her feet and legs over.

Yes that is a fair price but you may be able to get them down a little. For that amount it should be in A+++++ shape. For that much you could also find a Allegro Bay 37DB. I can tell you that we enjoyed ours for 9 years. We had very few problems with it during that time. Good luck with your search.

I'm not much for gas powered but if you feel gooda bout it then go for it. Tiffins are well built and 32 ft is really short for 2 people after about 2 months. Kinda like a Peterbilt. Biggest truck out there and gets smaller every day. After 3 weeks you have cabin fever from going down the road, trapped in a box with noise and vibration all day and you snap when the school bus makes it 25th stop 2 miles from home! All the souls aboard the school bus are ........

If the layout, etc. is what you want it's a good deal. If not, walk away.

Forgot about NADA. Looked it up (32BA). Looks pretty good. A bit above low retail, but so is the coach.

Thanks,
Tom

And model? Check NADA, low retail, that should give you a ballpark.
