Our new Honda SUV has that feature. Seems to make me pay more attention but wouldn't really want it in my DP.

I Was installing MOBLeye systems at a ford dealer , it does lane departure, reads speed limit signs, and a bunch of other stuff, I dont think I would ever put one in one of my own cars or motor home

Have the lane departure warning system on our Edge. It's not horribly intrusive but will occasionally get confused in construction zones where the lines are overlapped. Does not work very well in the rain at night as I guess it has trouble seeing the lines, or maybe there is just too much water on the front camera lens. I can set the correction "strength" to low or high to control how much force it applies to the steering wheel. Even on high it is not difficult to overpower it. One benefit, it has forced me to be more diligent about using my turn signal when I change lanes.
Would not ever consider adding it to the MH. If it came as standard equipment, I would want a way to easily turn it off. There are too many instances where I need to "borrow" a bit of the other lane to make a turn. Only see LDW being useful in the MH for interstate driving.

Thanks for the replies so far yet none have helped the OP. :W

My wife's Explorer has a very nice system that is both helpful when needed and able to be turned off.

I can see where a system like that may be helpful.

Please keep this one on track.
There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

People need to be better drivers and not rely on gadgets to keep them in their lane. I've driven motorhomes with that feature and it's annoying.

Thereโ€™s a new mod. out for that system, allows you to moderate the volume.

And consistent too!

I've driven cars with them and DO NOT want one in my coach. There are times I'll stay to one side or the other for a good reason and don't want to be battling with the electronics.

I would it to be like the Park sense on our Ram, an audible alert, and it can be disabled easily with a push of a button.
I sure as he!! don't want it steering my rig, that is for the IDIOTS that don't know how to drive in the first place!

I would prefer a non-lane departure system. Made me think of cough drops, I prefer non-cough drops. ๐Ÿ™‚
