Looking for Class C under 11' Exterior Ht. with A/C

Though we have not owned an MH for several years, we are considering jumping in again - but downsizing. Last MH was a Winnebago Journey 42' Class A DP. Great rig, but way more than we need now.

I am trying to stay under 11' exterior height, so Winnebago Via, etc. are ruled out. Have seen FR Forester 2801 QS - ONLINE ONLY - and like the floor plan. It show exterior height 10'8". Have seen a Four Winds Siesta (10'10") online, but floor plan didn't appeal.

Throwing my query out to the great minds of this forum...

My '98 Coachmen Santara 315QB is about 10' 10" high to the tippy top of the air conditioner.

Our shorter 23'-8" long Phoenix Cruiser model 2350 HERE is 9'-10" to the tippy top of the a/c unit. It is 3" lower than the one mentioned above by Richard because the E350 chassis sits 3" lower than the E450 chassis, and also 3" lower than the Sprinter chassis option. A new 2015 Model 2350 HERE has not changed much over the years, and surely not it's height.

All 9 models offered HERE are no taller than the 10'-1" Rich mentioned. If you "almost" like a particular floor plan, the factory is very accommodating to make changes that won't impact mechanical stuff much, and won't gouge you to do it. BTW, most slide outs in every model are optional. With exception to the few double/queen beds in slide outs, all can be deleted for a handsome savings.

We have a 9' 11-1/4" tall opening in our garage door which offers just over an inch clearance to the a/c unit. It's tight but it fits at full tire pressure and empty. Loaded with fresh water and all the rest and I get a little more.

Our Phoenix Cruiser is 10' 1" high with A/C. We also have slides, and underneath storage. Yes, there is less storage than some, but we came from a 39' Newmar Ventana DP to the PC and have loved every minute of it. The PC is definitely worth a look.

For low height in a C, it usually means that the floor is built right down on the OEM mounting pucks rather than raised 6-10 inches about the chassis frame rails (i.e. no "basement") and often means no slideouts, because that basement gets created to make room for the mechanism of a "level floor" slide.

This makes Lazydaze and Bornfree the top candidates, since they don't do slides. Sometimes entry level Cs and rental models with no slides are built low, but not usually as low as Lazydaze.

My Born Free is 9' 10 3/4" tall. It was the first one I found that would fit under my 10' garage door.
