Looking for lower ladder part

Hi All,
I just purchased a "new to us" 2005 Four Winds Infinity Model 36A. It has a permanent ladder that is attached to the back of the RV but is about 5 or 2 feet off of the ground. There appears to be a holder down lower where an ladder extension would go. Unfortunately the lower ladder portion did not come with the RV. Does anyone have any ideas where to look for a replacement?

Thanks and hope to see you all on the road

Jeff

DSDP Don, has the best idea. I also carry one of these ladders and won't leave home without it. Works great and very strong. Doesn't take up much space. There is a ladder manufacturer, TopLine (562) 633-0605 who may sell what you need. They just built a replacement ladder for my RV and it matched the original perfectly.

Jeff, I can tell you it's a waste of money. You need a 6ft. ladder anyway to clean the windshield and/or wash the coach.

Just line up the A-frame 6 ft. ladder at the back just below the attached ladder and climb on up. The lower part of those ladders are very awkward (never used ours). Save your money.

Good idea, that's what I do. I leave the bottom part of the OEM ladder at home and carry a standard 6' step ladder. I can use it to climb on the roof if necessary, and clean windows, mirrors, etc.

You can buy the same size tubing and fittings and a good Marine supplier (Like West Marine). The tubing and the fittings will be much better quality (and more expensive) but will be stronger and longer lasting stainless steel.

Awesome advice. X2
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.
