I'd like to make contact with others who own one of the new (2004, 2005) Pace Arrows so we can share experiences, problems, good things, etc.

I bought this replacement from Amazon:

Progressive Dynamics PD9270V Inteli-Power 9200 Series 70 Amp Converter/Charger with Built-in Charge Wizard

$180. There were cheaper ones, but this got the best reviews, and it's worked flawlessly since installation. It fit in the same space my old one came out of, which was a plus.

Sounds identical to the problem I had about 2 months ago. When I get home this evening I will get you the info on the replacement.

Pace arrow, THe funny thing is that if i have the converter plugged in but not connected ot the leads to go to the battery/Panel it seems like it has 13.4 V but as soon as i connect the charging leads the voltage drops to 4.5 or something
Which converter did you get as a recplacement.

I had the exact scenario, no fan, very little output, but is did jump around a little. Had to replace the unit. When I called to buy the new one the guy sold me a different brand. He said the one the that was in the RV had the highest failure rate in the industry. If it is plugged into a working outlet and is not generating the 13.6 (or whatever the number is supposed to be) the unit is bad. I purchased mine on ebay for about $125.00 and all systems are working.

Then it sounds like you need a new converter. I was just trying to eliminate as many other things as possible. Go from the converter straight to the batteries, that eliminates the battery control center, AND tests the converter under load.
If you buy a converter from Amazon, they have an excellent return policy, if it turns out to be something else.

Right. But still don't know if the converter is good or bad... Looks good but it's not under load. If you can jump from the converter to the same cables you have your motorcycle charger hooked up, that should tell you one way or the other.

But i already tested it that way and the meter told me it was around 4 and no where near 13 or 14.

My fan ran almost continuously when my batts were bad and the converter was trying to charge them. I don't know if it's because the new converter's fan is just much quieter, but I haven't heard the fan on the new converter come on since I installed it.

Lobstah. Not sure what you mean. I used the same cables attached to the converter for my Motorcycle battery charger test.

Could be the converter IS bad, and it's just showing 13v with no load. Can you run jumper cables from the converter to the those same leads and check the voltage again?
