Looking for work stopping at different campgrounds or different destinations to write a review. I want to travel a little and earn some money doing it. Does anyone know where I could find a job like this?

This blog was not to be intendend to criticize anyone especially the one who put it up me. My wife has no idea I did it. I was just looking into this for information just to get an idea so we can spend a little more time together because I don't no how much time I have left. I'm sorry if I offended anyone but I will always defend my honor and how I feel. Especially, when I'm being made fun at. That was the intent and everyone can see that.
Thank you everyone else for your input and I will look at all my options. GOD Bless.

If you ever get out West the big tent in Quartzsites (mid Jan.) has booths set up for people who want to work at RV Parks. They have all kind of info for Federal, State and Private RV Parks.

This is the guy's post: "Looking for work stopping at different campgrounds or different destinations to write a review. I want to travel a little and earn some money doing it. Does anyone know where I could find a job like this? " He says "I want to Travel" and "where I could find a job like this" Don't know where you went to school, but at my high school, "I" means yourself, not your wife, kid or dog, but you. Only after his very poor writing skills were pointed out, did the wife become the writer.
This thread was about getting a paying job in journalism. I am not sure it is out of line to point out why someone may have a very hard time getting the employment they are seeking if it appears they are not going to be qualified. Eating every day does not automatically qualify you to be a food critic, and traveling from place to place does not make you a travel writer. Poor spelling, poor sentence structure, improper usage of words and all the other errors in his posts seem to indicate that writing for money isn't going to be in his future. Maybe his wife does have a special talent that will be marketable, but she is going to need a different talent agent if his responses are any indication of what will happen down the road.

Wow! Thank you all for the quick responses and all the ups and down and of course all your great information. Me and my wife love to try different places to stay at or eat. That would be a great plus to write about. I really hope something comes through for us as we so want to get out there and explore in our Motorhome. If anyone runs into any websites that are highering for something like this please forward this to me. Thank you all!

First of all my wife is the writer not me. I'm so sorry if I offended you. I didn't no we had to be perfect like you. I didn't no you had time to write on here since your so busy counting your billions of dollars! Sorry you had to take the time out for that. ๐Ÿ™‚

WORD OF ADVISE TO "EVERYONE" WHO WRITES SOMETHING ON HERE!!!!
Be careful how you say or write anything on here because the perfect bobkatmsu from Clearwater Flordia will Mock you and try to put you down! This is a not Christian person with a lot of issues with himself so he has to attack others! It's sad. This person needs prayer! Please pray for this person!
You don't just get hired to be a writer, you have to work your way into such positions. Journalists are professionals, who spend years learning their craft. And if this is the way you are going to react every time you get a rejection, you aren't going to be getting "highered" for many positions and people surely aren't going to be too interested in referring you to places you might be able to get a start.. Spelling and grammar is important to many people, and there is probably no place it is more important than in journalism. Now you can call me "unChristian" as well, because if your post falls under the definition of being a "Christian" count me out.

My wife and I met a woman in Yellowstone this summer that writes travel reviews for a living. As we oooooohhhed and aaaaaahhed about the waterfalls in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, she told us she was actually working at the moment.

She didn't go into a lot of detail, but apparently she travels fairly extensively and writes about it. It sounded as though her reviews weren't limited to just RV/Camping related sites.
.....sounds great...but...is she getting paid for her writing....or just blogging like hundreds of others... just saying

She was making a living at it. I didn't get into details with her about how she was getting paid, but got the feeling that she worked for a major publication.

If this is something that you really want to do, then writing your own travel blog that is ad subsidized may be your best bet. With banner ads and enough traffic, you might be able to make some money. *Might* being the operative word.

The Internet does not often conform well to traditional business models such as employer/employee. If you're not convinced of this, then I'd encourage you to do some reading on www.techdirt.com. It's an excellent blog founded and primarily written by a gentleman named Mike Masnick. He has written extensively on such topics.

I think you'd be far better off taking the work camping route that others have suggested. A Google search on keywords such as "camp host state park" will reveal a plethora of available positions with varying work and hours requirements.

It is going to be hard to sell information that is all over the web. Talk to your accountant, is all the time and money spent researching tax deductible? That may be the only way to make is less expensive.

If you already a published author, photo-journalist, or television producer, then maybe you could convince someone to publish your work. Charles Karault did that many years ago, but already was an accomplished journalist.

Just because you are retired and like to travel and write doesn't mean you have the skills and the support to become a successful author.

Having said all of that, today you can easily self-publish and put your work for sale on Amazon.

As far as writing a review for campgrounds, I think Good Sam already has that covered. You can post on tripadvisor.
