Is anyone using the MICHELIN XZE2+ TIRES? If so, what is your opinion on these particular tires? I am looking to put these on my class A, but curious to see how they are and if they are worth the money.

My coach came with 8 Michelin tires. I just changed out the back 6 with 18 wheeler (bottom of the barrel LOL) tires, at least that's what some would say, they are Iron Man (by hercules) tires mainly for 18 wheelers, but they drives sooo good. My old Michelin's were losing chuncks, but were 6 yrs old. So now I have Michelin's up front and 6 Iron man tires ($1800 out the door) in the back, And I'm Lovin' it. I Never ever had a tire, car, truck or Moho, that didn't last me at least 5 yrs, and that's what I aim for. For me if a tire lasts 4-5 yrs, it did it's job. JMHO.

I prefer truck tires, myself.
You may wish you had the iron men up front as well.
Don't know what you're driving, but doubtful that you'd notice much difference, except in your wallet, of course.

Why would they be worth that kind of money, when so many other brands that are out there, will do the job, just as well?

I'm sure you know the answer to that.

My son loves basketball. He's pretty good at it too. We are not the richest of folks, so he got "shaq's" or "And 1's," basket ball shoes, 25 dollar and below sneakers. One day I found a pair of Lebron James's on sale, year end sale, I got a pair of $185 shoes for $79. Naturally he loved them and wore them out. lol. But they didn't ware out any quicker than the Shaq's or the And 1s nor did they Feel much different. My son never had any foot problems, whether they were Lebron James', Kyrie Irving's, Shaqs or And 1s. You're buying the biggest name in the industry, so you'll pay for it. Just like Nike or Shaq's, in the sports industry.
All tires MUST/Have to be certified by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and ALL have to meet certain standards and legalities. The Rest is Marketing.

And you would think that this simple fact, would be easily understood by most anyone. Safety items aren't the same thing, as buying a quality products for other items, like with the coach itself, for example.

I would agree, but I just got talked out of them at a tire Dealer that sells them along with Michelin, Bridgestone, and Firestone. He said out of the 4, the Continentals would be his number 4 recommendation for a MH. I was looking at the EcoPlus HS3. His reasoning, and take it for what it is worth from a Dealer, is the Continental was more fickle for care and sensitive to pressures. Some drivers complained that after a 750 mile run the tread on the steer axles would start to show odd wear that forced them to rotate positions to save the tire.

I'm definitely not doubting anything you say or that your tire guy says. But tires that are sold on the U.S. market have to meet certain criteria and standards....By Law. Don't you find it hard to believe that Compared to the competition, Continental would be able to sell such a subpar/problematic tire? Personally I doubt The NHTSA would give their "blessing" to a tire that performed that way, compared to others. JMHO. What do you think?

The US Gov. gave their blessings by requiring it to pass DOT standards and numbering them accordingly.
As for complaints, they're all over the net for most every tire, with Michelin and GY leading the pack.

Had Continentals on our last coach, no problems at all. But, same for Toyos on coach before that and Michelins on the coach before that.

I am replacing Michilen XZE2+ tires next week, 6years old and cracks all over side walls. Not worth the price. Going with hankooks or sumitomo tires. My tire dealer says he has had great luck with sumitomo tires and hankook is his second pick. But he sells all the top brands.

Congrats on your decision.

I'm no Michelin fan, but I've got 8 to replace next month and after shopping like crazy and listening to all the talk I'll probably go back to the Michelin (now X Line Energy Z). Toyos are about $1,000 cheaper and were definately my #2 choice, but they are not the exact size for my coach.

PS - I was carrying the FMCA published discount rate in my left pocket in both Michelin Commercial Tire Stores I shopped at, and walked out with quotes over $20 cheaper per tire than FMCA in my right pocket. The FMCA discount really varies by tire.

Thank You very much for everyone's input. I just went ahead and ordered the MICHELIN XZE2+ for my coach. I was told that there is an unlimited mileage and time warranty against any defects. Wasn't my deciding factor because I don't believe it, so whatever...Seems to be a good load range J tire, so I went with it.

I replaced the original XRV tires with XZE (stiffer sidewall)for the second 7 years. In 2108 I was told XZE were no longer made so I'm Back to XRV tires. Be sure to use FMCA's Michelin deal. I saved a bunch

IN another time and place the FMCA discount program is being discussed. I got a "Ditto" when I posted what happened last Oct
I priced Mitchlin XRVs at 3500 plus install
I got Toyo's installed for 2300 out the drive

NOW.. I'm told my TOYO's won't last as many MILES as the Mitchlins would....

But the old tires the tread was still good Very good. Many thousands of miles of tread left.. The tires "Aged" out (which they do in 7-10 years) And the TOYO's are expected to last ... The same 7-10 years. For over 1000 less. I'll stick with TOYOS.

Oh they are not "Identical" size wize but the difference means my Speedometer is off by LESS THAN 1/2 mph at 60 MPH.. Not enough to even care.
