Motosat and Direct TV-Beware of giving up your receiver

Does anybody know how to get the MotoSat dish to find Direct TV when you have the new Direct TV remotes? Direct TV came to our house several weeks ago to upgrade a receiver in the house. The technician said he would put a new receiver in the RV as well, at no charge, because they were trying to get the old RCA receivers out of circulation. I should have never let him take it.
When I tried out the new reciever with remote, there is now NO WAY to control the satellite dish on the roof and get it to find the Direct TV satellite. Now I have a dish that may as well be a boat anchor.
Direct TV will not bring the old receiver back. They say if you buy one on EBAY, they will not give you a card for it. And MotoSat is out of business and the company that spawned off of it, won't call back.
Help! Any suggestions. I still have the old RCA remote (black with purple buttons) but it no longer works to position or control the satellite dish.

I had the same notification but I kept my old RCA receiver. I dont have the Motosat but I do have the old Datron system. I can use a new receiver with it but its in a simi auto mode, with the old RCA receiver, you get the low speed data port which links with my Datron making it fully auto. Direct TV wants to get rid of all the customer owned receivers.....they basically told me I could keep it as long as I pay the additional receiver cost.

My Motosat has a separate controller to control the antenna and it will lock on to the satellite even when the receiver is off. I don't have a remote for the controller. I just turn the power on and hit the "find" button.

You mean you do not have a control for the sat antenna controls? How come? My Winegard has a control power box that controls the antenna. The antenna should be a complete separate entity from your sat receiver remote. I don't get your problem.
